I used to spend my evenings and sometimes mornings attempting to write a java and opengl (via jogl) framework for myself to run opengl apps. I then migrated to the mindset of "reusing" other peoples work. I tried jME. It was ugly. I am now trying Ogre. Perhaps oneday I will do something interesting.
